about the collection
It was the Japanese sense of sophistication and imperfect perfection that top chef Sergio Herman was able to infuse into the Inku tableware. It's tableware with clear references to shell shapes, blossoms and the abstract structures of nature. The radial typography, often associated with the iconic Mount Fiji, also features in the collection.

about the collection
The Surface collection takes inspiration from Sergio Herman’s homeland of Zeeland, in The Netherlands – a series of small islands in a constant contest with the ocean, with a landscape etched by tides and flood surges. The materials, colours and glazing techniques interpret the region’s raw nature and unique topography.

Ann Demeulemeester founded her eponymous fashion label with long-term creative partner Patrick Robyn in 1985 and quickly became a key figure in redefining the voice of fashion internationally. In 2014 she stepped down from her fashion label and has since been exploring a variety of new formats, including sculpture and ceramics. Since 2019 Demeulemeester has been collaborating with Serax to produce collections of porcelain (Dé and Ra), cutlery and glassware. This was followed by a range of lighting and luminous objects. In 2022 they released a comprehensive furniture collection of stools, chairs, tables, consoles, seats and sofas in a variety of materials

With Dé, the play of chiaroscuro, light and shadow that is so characteristic of the style of Ann Demeulemeester is translated into tableware. The result is a collection of shadow paintings on porcelain. The edges of the fine plates feature a ‘dégradé’, painted by hand in several layers to create a meticulous interplay of lines. This craftsmanship makes each plate unique and enables a wide array of combinations. The arrangement of the different plates can be tailored according to the guest, the atmosphere and the dish. The play of light that occurs when the shadow effects of plates and cups touch each other is also extraordinary.
