As an interior architect, Lauren has always had an affinity with handmade objects. She discovered that clay was an ideal medium to give shape to her conceptual ideas and she decided to learn more about it. In her search for her 'own' style, Lauren Van Driessche experiments with different types of clay and techniques. According to Lauren, the contrast between the infinite number of possibilities and the characteristic limits turns the creative process into a fantastic voyage of discovery in which she can lose herself completely. Today, her work ranges from sculptural pieces to functional dishes with a distinctive design.
